They actively use walking combat robots in military conflicts. Mechs are meters tall and can fight in any climate. In the story the forces of the Inner Sphere invade the planet Port Arthur. The player commanding an internal unit "Davion's Guards" Helps the invaders take the celestial body from the Smoky Jaguar clan. There are 5 campaigns in this project, which together consist of 30 missions. They usually ask to protect allies, outmaneuver all enemy units, capture an object, and so on.
Occasionally there are secondary missions. It also creates quite the light show as well, because of all the missiles and lasers going off. Throughout your missions, you will have many objectives presented to you. These include : silent strikes, take-overs and recon missions. The gameplay is varied quite a bit throughout the campaign. One problem I do think can get annoying during the game is the movement of your units.
You can make them go at different speeds, but they seem to just go at their own pace for some parts. Control isn't terrible for this reason, but does suffer a little bit. Sound in the game is one of it's truly shining qualities. Voice acting is superb and very professional. These people are intimately familiar with the BottleTech universe, its BattleMechs and storyline. On the other hand, we want the game to appeal to real-time strategy fans who aren't that familiar with the BattleTech world, but might enjoy playing a game set within what is a very rich and diverse universe.
Consequently we wanted to break out of the traditional confines typically associated with real-time strategy games; we wanted to develop a game that didn't burden players with building and accumulating resources. Instead we decided to focus on other, more dynamic aspects of command that are more enjoyable, as well as working on a rich storyline and developing what we like to call a persistent strategy that forces the player to look after his pilots and Meehs.
We've also split the game into two stages: logistics and battle. Before embarking on a mission, players will have to choose the right Meehs for the job, choose the right pilots, weapons and sensors. Once they're confident with their selection they can get in there and start to kick some ass. If you just dive in without giving a thought to your selection and with no strategy you'll just get toasted. Each mission, and there are 30 of 'em, can be completed in a number of different ways, so players will have to manage their resources very carefully if they are to progress very far into the campaign.

It would be nice if there was an updated version for Windows But the gameplay is still awesome. For those of you having trouble with playing, and even cut scenes, try installing it in compatibility mode for Windows That's what I did. And have had no problems. But don't forget that this game is really low resolution, compared to today's standards.
